The Ibanez Ibanez M8M Meshuggah Signature 8-String , Black is built to create
the crushing tones and extended range required by Mårten Hagström of the band
Meshuggah.

The M8M is crafted in Japan by Ibanez´s premier luthiers and is as uncompromising
in its build-quality as it is in tonal output. With 8 strings and reaching all the way down
to low-F, the M80M has a massive melodic range that is supported by the extra-long
scale neck (29.4´´).

This guarantees a tight and focused response, keeping the strings taught right down
to the lowest notes. The neck is constructed in 5 pieces of maple/bubinga and extends
completely through the alder body; not only does this give superior sustain and
resonance, it also makes the top-end of the fingerboard effortlessly accessible.   

The alder-wing body gives the brightness needed for low-end clarity, while the Edge
III-8 bridge gives you all the benefits of a fixed-bridge sustain and double-locking tuning
stability.

The M8M is loaded with a single Lundgren Model M8P pickup which provides an
explosive tone with extreme articulation, even with the highest-gain settings.

A completely smooth playability is guaranteed by the slim neck and flat fingerboard,
fitted with jumbo frets with Prestige fret-edge treatment for enhanced string control.
