The AW65ECE features a solid cedar top to provide its core tonality and playing
response. Cedar is a bright-sounding wood with a highly musical response and
a sweet balance of frequencies, usually employed on classical guitars for its
balanced frequency response.  It will give you both delicate nuance and a
full-bodied tone, so you´ll hear every part of your playing with great clarity.

Solid tonewoods are more stable and resonant than laminates; the solid cedar
top of the AW65ECE gives you the response and sound of a more expensive
guitar. The top is supported by an X bracing pattern which gives it strength
and enhances your projection for un-plugged performances.

The Fishman Sonicore pickup is mounted under the bridge and aims to
recreate your tone with great clarity. The pickup is connected through an
Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp system that gives you access to a handy on-board
tuner for quick tuning adjustments. The preamp also has a 2-band EQ to fully
sculpt your treble and bass frequencies directly from the guitar´s side-mounted
control panel.
